Opening ceremony of the 25th International exhibition on information and communication technologies TIBO-2018
The ceremony was attended by the members of the organizing committee, heads of public authorities, representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in the Republic of Belarus, foreign guests and other participants of the exhibition.
For the opening ceremony of the exhibition, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Forum Anatoly Kalinin, Minister of Communications and Informatization, Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee TIBO-2018 Sergey Popkov, Minister of Internal Markets, Information Technologies, Information and Communication Technologies of the Eurasian Economic Commission Karine Minasyan, Vice Minister of Information and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan Daryn Tuyakov, Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technologies of Arab Republic of Egypt Nermin Al-Saadani, Director General of the Executive Committee of the Regional Commonwealth in the field of communication Nuridin Mukhitdinov were invited on stage.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Anatoly Kalinin read the greeting of the Head of State to the forum participants: “For the quarter of a century the forum has been and still is an important platform for international cooperation, where the latest achievements in the field of information technologies are demonstrated. Belarus has a high innovative potential and is rightfully considered the most dynamically developing IT-country in the Central and Eastern Europe. We are implementing progressive ideas and solutions, actively involving young people in the construction of our digital future.”
Anatoly Kalinin welcomed all guests and participants on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Belarus. “The President and the Government are paying special attention to the development and creation of national information infrastructure,” said Anatoly Kalinin.
Karine Minasyan, Member of the Eurasian Economic Commission Board – Minister in charge of Internal Markets, Information Support, ICT congratulated the Government of Belarus on this significant event for the country. “Belarus is one of the IT leaders in the Eurasian Economic Union space,” stressed Karine Minasyan, “and today at the exhibition we see that this is indeed so.”
To the sounds of trumpets, officials cut the red ribbon, launching the TIBO-2018.
